I ordered a party platter online. Order was ready at the request time. I was able to bypass the line at the door with my online order. Sushi was fresh and tasty as usual!

This place always has a long wait for a reason. The fish is always fresh, big portions and reasonable prices. If you need something to bring to a party their poke don platters are always a crowd favorite. My favorite is the spicy salmon. Customer service is also always on point. I wish they would go back to pre covid hours but thankful that I live close enough that I can visit regularly.

Sushi Bay located in Kapolei Shopping Center is a popular sushi restaurant known for their generous sushi portions and great prices. Although the conveyor belt sushi is no longer in effect since covid, it is still a great destination for easy grab n go and dine in. I came on a weekday at around 11:15 am. At that time, there was a waiting list with 6 parties ahead of me. It took about 30 minutes for me to get in and dine. By the time I got in, the place was pumping with workers hustling. I was quickly served water, and my order was taken within minutes. I was consistently checked in during my stay by the servers, and my water cup was never empty. Food also came out pretty quick. The food itself was straight up amazing. The portions and cuts of sushi were great and tasted so fresh. The udon and chawa mushi were hot and fresh. The restaurant was very clean. The service, food, and everything was top tier. I definitely recommend coming here if you are willing to wait

After years of not coming because they didn't offer dining in options for a while, I was in the area and wanted to break my husband's sushi bay cherry! We went on a Friday a little after lunch and before dinner. We didn't wait too long before we got seated probably 10minute tops. I was extremely hungry but I knew this place would be well worth it. The inside is small like everyone else says it is. It's definitely not as high tech as Genki sushi but the servers come to get your order and give them to you. The prices and quality of this place is so amazing! You really get a bang for your buck and more! Service was phenomenal and went beyond my expectations. Every employee went above and beyond to make sure I was having a pleasant visit at their establishment. Now on to the food, the nigiri sushi still remained the same like years ago. The fish to rice ratio and the size of the fish is literally top tier! Big pieces of fish on the rice with nori wrapped around. The spicy ahi and ahi poke don was my favorite! I also loved how they had chawan mushi one of my favorite dishes and scallop mayo on their menu. My husband is extremely picky when it comes to sushi and prefers to eat at more "expensive" sushi restaurants but I even got a thumbs up and a WOW from him! So that speaks volumes. I will definitely be returning next time I'm in the area to try other things on the menu. I looove this place! I would definitely choose sushi bay over Genki Sushi any day'

Never have I ever been disappointed at sushi bay. Period. There's other places that might skip a beat or have a one off experience. However at sushi bay, I can honestly say they're consistently good! The line waiting to dine in before they're even open and the constant flow of take out orders is proof of that. Their top tier service and food quality is commendable. I love dining in and watching the flow. Everyone has their role that makes everything run so smoothly. I don't think I've even heard anyone complain. Sometimes the wait can be upwards of an hour depending on when you get ur name on the list and how many other ppl craving sushi bay at that exact moment. If you're hangry, opt for take out or come early. I think they put the sign up sheet out at least by 1030 when take out orders open. If you haven't had sushi bay, what are you doing?! lol. I love everything here. Stop reading and get over there! A local business I'll forever support!

One of my favorite places to enjoy sushi on the island of Oahu. It's located quite far out of town in Kapolei but it's definitely worth the drive. Their food always hits the spot, their fish is very fresh, their prices are fair, and their service is great. Only gripe is no matter what time of the day you go, there is an insane wait with how small the restaurant is. If you go at noon on a weekday I would still plan on waiting an hour for your table for a party of 2-4.

I haven't been here since years before covid so when I had an appt in Kapolei, I made sure to stop by since I'm never on this side of the island anymore. When I went there was no wait and plenty tables open! We did come on a Monday and around 2:45pm so after lunch and right before school ended (you're welcome). All the other times I've come I waited probably an hour at the least so thank goodness lol. Fish quality is so good! Size of the nigiris were thick and overly drapes the rice. For the mix poke bowls, the fish were diced small (not mushy) and not drowning in spicy mayo like most places. Only down side of the small dices was kinda hard to pick up bites because kept falling off, but still delicious regardless. The major plus side of Sushi Bay is that the quality is better than fast sushi and the price is cheaper! I ordered twice as much of what I would usually get at fast sushi and paid about the same price. I'm so happy I got to eat here again. Definitely will come back if I'm back in Kapolei again.

Sushi bay is one of my favorite sushi spots in Hawaii that my local friends highly recommended. If you are looking for sushi in the Kapolei area then I would definitely recommend! The fish is super fresh and the portions are filling. There are tons of different rolls that are all very good. I always order online ahead of time and get to go since there is a long wait! Food I come here and just order a bunch of different rolls or entree items to share with friends. Some of my favorites that I recommend are salmon skin, spicy salmon, garlic salmon, baked mussels, masago temaki, masago, and any of their rolls. If you want like a fish bowl, the salmon don is good too. Atmosphere I've never actually dined in so cannot say too much about it other than the place is very busy. Tons of people waiting around either to sit down or pick up an order. Pricing Prices depend on what you get since everything in a price tier, but in general they are reasonable. With such good tasting food and fresh fish, I think that Sushi Bay is very worth it. Service The staff was nice. The restaurant is pretty busy though so it can be a wait for the food and feel like they are in a rush. Other Located inside a strip mall so there is a free parking lot. Can be difficult to find parking though since it is a pretty busy area.

I love this place. Fish was fresh and although it seems like our order was small, we left with full stomach. First time, I came on a week day couple hours before closing and there was no line. On the second time, I came on a weekend, they have a waitlist for dine-in and it was a long wait (especially with the heat it fells super long) but it is totally worth it. They ensure everyone on the waitlist gets a seat and they close the waitlist at some point (based on my perspective, it is based on their capacity and closing time). Once seated, you can see how they make the order and I am really impressed with their coordination while making all the order while vibing with good music. I tried natto for the very first time here. Although I've heard not many people like it, I am definitely glad I get to try it here.
